The start of the adventures - Trip 1 back in June 2014

Well, it may be a bit tardy, but it is time to chronicle Evangeline's adventures.  Evangeline is a 1985 VW T25 transporter.  She is a hi-top conversion, which means more storage and extra sleeping space.  We bought her in May 2014, eBay of course!, and although she was a bargain it did cost a lot in hours and parts to get her going! But the previous owner left us with a drive away awning and everything inside that you could ever possibly need!

So here we are and finally, after a month of preparations, we are ready for a few test runs..  I must admit, I was thinking all the time that there would be a break down of some kind..(I was wrong!)

Gower Peninsular 21-22 June. The weather was kind and we stayed at a great value campsite with hook up and views of the sea;

The next day we went to Port Eynon.  It is such a lovely little village, unspoilt and not a lot there, but great views and peace :)

It also has a campsite right on the edge of the coast!  We didn't know this or maybe we would have chosen it to stay on.  Some great examples of vintage camping!

From here we went further down the coast to Rhossili; breathtaking scenery......

Headed off home after a successful trip, no major worries and finally getting to know the van :) All in all about 300 miles done :)
